There are millions of dissatisfied voters with nowhere to go. Don't want to go to or carry on with Labour, same for the Tories.... rich pickings for Reform IMO. That is the point.

Nothing about recent budget here,
nothing abut breaking manifesto promises here
nothing about delivering fully costed budget here
nothing about cutting WFA here
nothing about shameful gifts and freebies here
nothing about increasing the minimum bus fare by 50% here
nothing about excluding doctors surgeries and care homes from employers NIC here
nothing about increasing SME costs on recruitment by removing trial periods here
nothing about increasing SME costs by giving full sick pay from day 1 here

My point was BOTH parties are corrupt, useless and totally ineffective as is our political system. FPP has had its day and needs to be overhauled and removed.

Do you remember the last time Tories took over from Labour? Same shit different era.... Cameron/Osborn a pair of rich boys playing politics with no accountability using phrases such as "look at what we've inherited" "no money left" and many others etc...? Years of overcompensating for an opposite political idealogical approach resulting in poor people (just like now) paying the price.

Our two party FPP system just does not work and I cannot even begin to suggest that something like proportional representation would be any better but FFS we do need to change to something where everyones vote does count because in electing a left wing government with such a powerful majority when 65% of the popular vote does not want them there is dangerous.

Personally I cannot stand the Tories or Labour they are both duplicitous, dishonest and corrupt. The problem for me is that I can see that from both sides and hold both Parties in equal contempt.

Home Office paid £15m for unusable 'asylum camp' site

The National Audit Office (NAO) has said it will launch an investigation into the Home Office's decision to pay well over the market price for an abandoned prison site in order to use it to house asylum seekers - only to discover that widespread asbestos contamination meant the site was unusable. The Home Office spent £15.2m to buy the former HMP Northeye prison site in East Sussex, after its owners had paid just £6m to buy the site from the Ministry of Justice. The NAO has said it will look into how the process for acquiring the site "differed from standard practice", after a senior Home Office manager said the site was "bought due to a push by the minister before any due diligence was done".
