Our American (hates Trump) daughter-in-law has lived in this country for over 20 years paid all her taxes and NI but wants to remain a proud American (you can’t have dual citizenship I believe). Nasty party want to ‘send her back’. Had to use the NHS twice for the birth of our granddaughter and for an eye problem not exactly over used it. Barstewards.

The borders around the conference are more secure than those of the country as a whole. Passed by on the Metro yesterday and it is locked down completely.

Political extremists terrify me which is why we need functional and electable mainstream parties. If you believe in mainstream centre left or centre right politics, we need both the Conservatives and Labour to improve, regardless of who you support.

Earlier on 5Live I heard Grant Schapps interviewed by Matt Chorley. Schapps claimed he learned and understood that the UK had to leave the ECHR to progress during his time as Home Secretary. There was no pushback from Chorley who could have pointed out Shcapps was H.S. for 5 days.
