The Derby Post Match Thread

my Rag friends who call them shit and fucking awful manager.
I can see where they're coming from, but they need to recognise some of the shite they have been left with by the sour one, and further appreciate that he's making them into a team that is at least hard to beat (he's the first to prevent KdB playing this season). Getting back their swagger is going to be a long way off, and Martial might be the start, but much of the rest of their squad looks a long way off. However we shouldn't do down our performance today, just because they think they're shit, that's not our issue. Our objective today was first not to get beat, then second to try and get a win, I don't think we were far away from the later objective, we just didn't get a couple of breaks.

No great spectacle but some people want it all ways. Pellers confounded his critics by NOT playing Yaya in a midfield two but gets little credit. His player selections were good, as were his substitutions, although I'd like to have seen more of Kelechi.

It was one of the most disciplined City performances for some time. Otamendi and Fern shone.

The main problem in my eyes was all-round shite showings from our attacking players.

Fcuk it anyway; we're top of the league and another point ahead of Chelski.

The bottom line is that another tricky away game has been knocked off the list for this season and we're still top of the league. I'm never totally satisfied when we fail to beat the rags but overall things are looking good. We'll smash them at The Etihad with Aguero and Silva.

Almost posted a thread before handed asking if anyone would take a cheeky 0-0 bore-draw.

Good result, we stay top.

Yaya behind Bony is silly stuff, mind you. It only ever works when he has Silva and Aguero up there.

It looks like Kompany and Otamendi could make for a very strong back two....if they can get a run of games together without injury. Special mention for Fernandinho.....a vital cog in our midfield.

i'm 51.

fair enough, you're right of course, not the worst derby ever,
i'm just frustrated because i wanted to see a foootball game.

for those who enjoy the game of chess it was no doubt very interesting,
but tactically, i didn't see our defence being too worried,
in fact i'd go so far as to say we pissed it,
an easy, hard-fought, point & one that gladly keeps us top,
but in my lifetime i can't recall seeing those fuckers ever being so scared of us as they are now,
to such an extent that they are happy to try harder not to lose to us than to try to play football against us,
when they could've taken the chance to go top,
no aguero or silva,
they chose to kill the game off before it started.
All the more reason to smile :)

Apologies for the age question it just came over as a daft knee jerk comment.

c'mon,
i didn't mean it was our worst performance,
i meant it wasn't a very good game,
simply because united decided to make it a not very good game.
Try sitting in the Utd end whilst losing 5-0. Take a point, clean sheet and going top over that every day of the week.
