The end of the agenda debate?

Really? ALL the time? I don’t think so. I haven’t heard it mentioned much lately but you could bet your life if it had been liverpool or utd it would be mentioned every time they played a PL game.

Sky eulogised about utd’s ‘historic’ win over PSG for at least 2 days on their main news reports. It was ‘trending’ on at least 2 topics right up until yesterday and they don’t even cover the CL. and their interest it isn’t because they’re a sports channel. Our CL games are barely mentioned by Sky but the rationale for that from the media bias apologists is that Sky don’t cover the CL. Go figure!
Sky did a better job of parading us as Centurions than the club did themselves.

City did next to fuck all; Sky did an hour long interview with Pep, put together an hour long documentary called Centurions and did an hour long 100 Club show showing all of our league goals.

The difference since is that City have still done next to fuck all (I think they put a t-shirt out around Christmas with Centurions on it) but now Sky are doing fuck all. As I do agree, if the Rags or KopiteGobshites had achieved 100 points they’d be called “The Centurions” ongoing.

But let’s not pretend Sky didn’t do owt because they were better than the club back in May and June!

They have probably forgotten the nailed on penalty Watford did not get against them at Watford this season, when the score was 0-0. Just one of over a dozen unexplained clear decisions they have wrongly had in their favour this season. Yet we get a ultra rare one and its highlighted to fuck, PGML statements within 20 mins (so i read earlier here on bluemoon), talking points and refs are handing us the title according to other fans. Of course week in week out where we get screwed by the officials, nothing is highlighted so no one sees this

This is spot on. The other thing about the decisionn yesterday is that the referee actually was technically correct in allowing the goal. As soon as the defender touched the ball, Raheem is instantly played onside. There is currently nothing else in the laws about forcing the defender to play it etc.

They have overcomplicated the offside law to such an extent that the whole thing is a farce. In this case the referee should be congratulated for actually knowing the laws of the game. The real joke are the PGMOL etc for disagreeing with the ref on the pitch.

The offside and handball rules have purposefully been left open to interpretation, specifically to ensure cases can be made for either allowing or disallowing goals, as it can be used to cover up the corrupt decisions.

The same can be said of red card decisions, if it’s Vinny for example the referees and media can portray it as a red card, if it’s Pogba then it’s not a red card because of this, that or the other, again to cover up the corrupt decisions.

Penalty decisions are the same, Salah goes down and there’s the merest hint of contact so it’s a penalty. Bernardo or Sterling go down and suddenly there’s not enough contact, it has to be a WWF wrestling move to be a penalty.

You’ll still get idiots who use the offside yesterday to try and say we benefit as well and it evens itself out when we all know basic maths and know full well it doesn’t. Just like you’ll get idiots who try to ignore the extreme amount of penalties Leicester got in their title year or Crystal Palace have got under Roy Hodgson.
I do agree with that but when you actually read the laws they can be applied without interpretation really. Take them literally with every situation. It’s not difficult but the officials just change their mind with the wind

I didn’t say Sky didn’t do owt - I agree that at the end of the season they did a programme on City being Centurions and indeed, I have recorded it for posterity.

My post was in reply to Bobom who said my comment that our 100-point achievement doesn’t get mentioned was “rubbish”.

He/she said it gets mentioned all the time - which it doesn’t.

We are in agreement that if the rags or red dippers had done it we would hear about it all the time - which was my original point to Bobom.

Whatever you do don't go on Rawk, They are absolutely convinced we are paying the refs off. And that one decision has strengthened the Agenderist claims over there. It's toxic.

That's how it works, for both them & the rags & always has.

They get 10 dodgy decisions, all were 'understandable' rival gets one; it's evened itself out.

Funny how there is more debate in the media about Sterling's goal (in my opinion it shouldn't have stood) then when a Liverpool player is 2 yards offside in front of the linesman, and goes on to set up a goal. The issue about decisions and VAR is one thing, the media hype over decisions is the other.

VAR would clearly have ruled out one, and still left the other as a matter of opinion and interpretation. We might not get the debateable decisions, but it'll certainly not hurt us if the clear and obvious ones are stopped.

Regarding the media, they can generally go f**k themselves. There are exceptions but the general tone of the media is clearly against us and pro red (both of them).

Was that about an hour after our game finished, the scouser that you could hardly hear? The woman presenter was brilliant, she had a dig towards him regarding the Gerrard slip then cut him off. I was in stitches driving home.
Yep that’s the one

No the officials change their interpretation depending on WHO they’re officiating, just like the media.
