Easy, it will depend on the colour of the shirt.Agreed.
How can VAR clear up something that the laws of the game doesnt and is open to so much interpretation?
Impossible.

Thank god we don’t ever descend into such a frenzy over here.
The way the new cycle works, there has to be a next story. Beyond the fan base of any individual club, people are not interested in media stories that blow smoke up their arse. Get over it. I think some City fans are on a fast track to a "we're so special, but no one appreciates us, the world is out to get us, they don't deserve us" mentality which is reminiscent of another club in the NW..
They have istreeeeee lar...
This. For VAR to work effectively re offsides the law has to be changed and it has to go back to if you are stood in an offside position then you are offside.
No active, inactive crap or not interfering with play, offside or not as it takes away the interpretation and the ability for VAR to be used to benefit certain sides whilst penalising others.
Dont hold your breath though.
I think the current offside law is exactly how it should be. It’s easy to understand once you’ve read the laws and it’s the best way to give an advantage to the attacking side and keep the game flowing better.
So we would be screwed then. Think of all the cut back from the byline goals we score. The player giving the assist will almost always be offside in your theory
There has to be some form of active/inactive or it would be a farce
