I’m not sure I want to see any of them take another penalty, ever! Not too worried about Ortega.
Its Bernardo and Kovacic I have more in mind

He's a number 1 playing as a backup. I wouldn't mind us paying him what he's worth if it means he stays. he deserves itI don't think Ortega would mind being Number 2 as long as he gets paid what he's after. Seems pennywise, pound foolish to me to go looking for a new number 2 rather than strike a deal with one who has already proved himself.
It's possible. Didn't Barca manage it a few years back with Ter Stegen and Bravo? Bravo played all the La Liga games and Ter Stegen played all the cup games? Pretty sure Ortega would be more than happy with 8 to 10 cup domestic cup appearances plus eight Champions League group games and a couple of PL games if Ederson gets injured. Ederson could then be starting PL goalkeeper and Champions League knockouts starter. Ederson would finish the season with about 40+ appearances and Ortega would be on about 15-20, which isn't a bad deal for either of them as long as they both feel useful, happy, and well paid.I can’t think of a single instance where a manager has successfully rotated goalkeepers.
England tried it briefly with Shilton and Clemence in the 80s and it was soon dropped. Brighton have apparently been doing it a bit this season. But it doesn’t look like it’s doing them much good.
No matter how similar in quality they might be, the manager must always slightly think one is better than the other at any given time.
Ederson is No. 1 and I’m 99% sure he will be next season. If Ortega can’t live with that then off he pops and we find someone else as backup.
I knew there was a high profile example which made me think it was possible but couldn't remember where it was - but it's Barca I had in mind. It's possible. Steele is the best on the ball in the league not called Ederson. He can't make saves though, if Ederson was injured he'd be a huge step down.I love Ortega and i'd be so sorry to see him go but if he were to how's about that Brighton goalie as a number 2, christ he was confident on the ball
