The best I ever saw playing city, having missed out on our glory years, was Kenny Dalglish. Seems to be something of a forgotten man post-prem but he was far and away the best player in britain for a decade when English sides dominated Europe. Always scored against us as well

Ronaldo at Barcelona for me, just quality and the complete striker. I've had the pleasure of seeing many excellent players live but the one that stands out for me is Bergkamp, one of the very few opposition players in my lifetime who got a standing ovation by the home fans. As for City players, I have to say watching Robinho and Benarbia has given me the most enjoyment from watching City.

The best individual, most consistent player that I have ever seen is Thierry Henry. He ripped the PL apart between my age of 7 and 14 so my main childhood years if you like.

Kinkladze is still the only player I've ever seen live that I was amazed by. I remember standing in the North Stand with my mouth open in awe of some of the mazy runs he made. Literally took my breath away.

There have been a few whom I consider to be good but the little Georgian was a genius, played in pants team and still looked superb.

The goal he scored against Southamton, where he just skipped through the whole defense stopped infront of the keeper and basically said bet you can't stop me and just cooly plonked the ball in the back of the net was sublime. Best individual goal I saw at Maine Rd.

The best player I ever saw in my 38 years is Maradona.

The best English player I saw in that time is Paul Gascoigne. I remember a game at Maine Road v Spurs, about 91, he was unbelievable, but we still won 2-1 !

If he hadn't got his (self-inflicted) injuries we would be talking about a true footballing great.

BUT both are/were headcases!
