according to the daily mirror and skyMUtv, he's the best player that god himself ever put breath into !!
Always overated in my view ...... good player yes , but certainly not a great one ...... and it must piss Leeds fans off bigstyle that their club is never mentioned whenever people bring his name up ....... after all that was his initial destination , and that was where he won his first English honours ...... i still say that the rags 'tapped him up' ..... why would a club who had just won the league like like Leeds sell their new found idol to their hated enemy at the Swamp for only £1 million , and practically overnight at that!
Cant agree. Howard Wilkinson had foresight. He brought Cantona to Leeds in the first place. The other side capitalised big time. Not only that they beat Leeds 4.0 at their place 1996,which was Wilkinson’s coup de grace. Also about Wilkinson he had a youth policy in place that wasn’t quite ready to get on the stage when he was dismissed. Kewell, smith, woodgate, Bowyer ,there may have been a few others. He had them in place, yet there’s never enough time in football. The rest is history George Graham and David O’Leary took the glory when the kids produced. O'Leary's Leeds never finished outside of the top five.blue dallas said:because their coach at the time was a clueless tit called howard wilkinson

Gérson and Tostão are often overlooked although Pele was clearly awesome.
Tino Best the West Indian fast bowler??

No one comes close to Maradona.Gosford Blue said:Johan Cruyff was the best player I've seen. I never saw him play live but I always enjoyed watching the Dutch team play with Cruyff being the star.
He had everything, turn of pace, good in the air and unbelievable balance.
I remember a game in the world cup when he sent a defender for a loaf. The defender went one way and fell on his arse and Cruyff went the other.
Better alround player than the fat Argy.

He won the League with Napoli in what was a relatively poor team, and won World Cups for Argentina.
The effect he had on the teams he played in can be measured by trophies

In the east side of his native city, they have a saying: 'Maradona good, Pele better. George Best.'
I wouldnt go that far.For me pele, and then Best.

when it comes to quotes - ''Kinkladze was singled out for praise by Diego Maradona, during a stint at CA Boca Juniors, and Real Madrid CF had also considered signing the 21-year-old and his 'dancing feet', honed as a youngster when his mother had sent him to learn the traditional Georgian ballet, mtiulur.''
