The Harry and Meghan fuss

After watching this I’ve got to say, it doesn’t paint anyone in a good light. There have been lots of strange decisions, mainly not giving Archie a title and pulling the security was a very strange decision that should have been rectified even if the mentioned processes were protocol. It’s fair to say that Charles is a fucking dick, the queen and Harry are closer than they have been and the fractured relationship between Harry and William will make some repairing. After watching I can see why Harry and Megan have done what they did, you need to protect your family at the end of the day, but this should have been resolved long before a one way ticket to a California.

Overall, it was quite sad, but also quite uplifting in a way as well.

I think it was telling how Harry made much of taking his lad to the beach, something as a child he would never have done with his mum. Its obvious his mum is a major part of his life and he rues the fact he never grew up with her around. That has to have taken its toll on him and I understand why he would want to protect his kids from that happening to them.

I am no lover of the Royal family, but in that interview Harry came across as normal as he could possibly be. He just wants what we all want from life and I can respect that. Its obvious he loves his missus, its obvious she loves him and I wish the pair of them well. Meghan came across as reasonable and respectful to the Queen.


What it also highlighted is how toxic our media is, no person Royal family member or not should be subjected to the kind of intrusion , the barrage of lies and the negative coverage they have received for having the temerity to shun them. They are not the media's playthings, they are human beings with feelings just like everyone of us.

None of us know what it must be like to live in a family that is so suffocating and whose values are based in stoicism and servitude, thankfully most of us are free of those burdens and we should be very thankful of that.

I do hope they continue their journey and continue to highlight the things that are important to them, issues like mental health and institutional racism are barriers to many people and those barriers need to broken down and consigned to history, just as I hope one day the Royal family itself is consigned to history and they can live normal lives just as we all can.
 
Doesn't seem to have gone down well across the pond - a bit like our blowing a hole in the GFI - can't see Biden nor anyone in US Politics wanting anything to do with the UK for a while yet. We are making ourselves look such twats on the international stage I suspect the likes of the US will wait until the cracks are chasms then pick us off very cheaply as we fight to regain some international relevance in the future.

Archie is not entitled to a title until Charles becomes king. Why should the UK tax payer pay for their security? They were warned they wouldn’t be entitled to it anymore when they fucked off.
 
They should have asked Harry what his relationship with his real Dad is like

heard they left the UK as uncle Andrew kept offering to babysit

Yeah, all seems to me to be rather tacky. I think he's a damaged person and she's a rather self-absorbed individual. They both appear to want most of the financial benefits of royalty but without the responsibilities and constraints. Rightly or wrongly all 3 go hand in hand.
Hopefully they'll stay in LA & gradually fade away out of the limelight. A lot more important things going on in the world than having to listen to the gripes & moaning of these two attention seekers.
