On this subject, the media exist in order to provide their patrons with what they want to hear. The consumers who read this drivel are the ones at fault because they continue to pay/click for it. - if they didn't it would go away. Sadly it won't change.

The race card and bullying appear to be interchangeable with those that defend and like and stand by Meghan and Harry. I don't read much if any gossip and don't read the mail. However I do understand that they had lots of negative stories about her after her split from the Royals. The press and media in general can certainly pick on a person and make their life a misery when they want. Look what they did to poor Caroline Flack, but is that vilification racist or is it just picking on a easy target or a person they want to make out as the bad person as it sells papers? I think its the latter, sadly the media do it with people from all walks of life.

If they wanted to retire from public royal life then fine, if they wanted to make a career in media in the US then fine also, lets be honest its no skin off anybody's nose on this forum or the UK for that matter.

But don't come out publicly with complaints about press intrusion and then deliberately court publicity and then cast more allegations for no reason other than to gain more sympathy and publicity with the end result being to perpetuate the whole saga that you so professed to have an issue about in the first place?

Do your interview talk about your up and coming media projects and your family etc, but then surely the common sense approach would have been to politely decline to say anything that would perpetuate the negative headlines.

Put your headlines up if you like. I could probably put up 500 more since that tell a completely different story. And nothing that she’s ever said or done could justify the calculated character assassination going on in the Mail, day after day after day, month after month after month. As to publishing racist content, papers aren’t dumb enough to put up headlines making direct derogatory comment relating to skin tone, but the sub-text is there in both the comments and the articles as plain as day. Do you accept that race was a motivator in the media’s treatment of Raheem Sterling, cos no newspaper put itself in a position where it could be sued there either? Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen though.
Like I said, I don’t have a hat in the ring one way or the other. The Queen, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Prince Charles. My attitude to all of them is supreme indifference.

Well we disagree, the fact is all this racist nonsense started after her whinge
fest, she was alright with it before this, and had been in regular contact with all the Royals. She didn't run from the Palace crying her eyes out before the wedding, as anyone would if this kind of abuse was flying around, did she? You won't accept it though, as like a few others, the Royal family is racist, the papers are racist, and the media in general is racist.
As for 'Character Assassination' I think you will be seeing at lot more of it, she's already spouted lying bullshit about inheriting titles, this will be reflected in the media, and no doubt dismissed, yet again, with another tedious racism claim.

And was there a race card when the red tops ferociously picked on the likes of Jade Goody and Caroline Flack? What about the the McCanns? rightly on wrongly the press have gone after them as well. The point is that the coverage isn't pleasant at all, but they don't just reserve the vindictiveness for black or people from an ethnic minority. I think they more likely choose a person who they decide they will portray as a 'baddy' and then perpetuate fake story lines to sell papers.
