BlueTG Is right....get The POZNAN back.
It's fun
It's inclusive
It's visual & ends noisy
Its a good start
It's still associated with CITY & our success

Poznan does it for me. Brilliant spectacle which I'm sure the players enjoy also (IMO)

Mind if only two do it, doesnt have the same clout:)

Totally agree, the period of the Poznan was when we were invincible at home and played some outstanding football. Coincidence ? I think not. The players openly stated they loved it and it was a great way of the whole ground showing their appreciation for the team. Plus, it was a great spectacle.

I truly believe it is this sort of thing that does make City fans special.

and me, get the poznan back, i`m 61 and its the only physical exercise i get these days (unfortunately) 8-(

Didn't the report out a few weeks back in which we had 6th biggest turnover say the reason we aren't in the top 5 is because of our relatively low match day income?

Also never understood why pee say cheaper tickets will create a better atmosphere. Do people say I've paid x amount of money, I'm not wasting it by standing here singing?

Would obviously like to pay less for my season ticket but think we will have a long wait for even a price free never mind a cut

Because cheaper tickets means young lads can afford to buy a ticket and have few pints before the match and then make some noise. The middle class and middle aged (who can afford the tickets and thus make up the majority) don't do this anymore because it's all part of getting older. This problem is up and down the land of football. Atleast, with City's stadium expansion there should be an opportunity when it is all done to create a section up in the Gods that offers cheaper match day tickets and in turn the young lads will make some noise and it will bounce off the new roof and down into the rest of the stadium.

I'm sorry but this is something that I have never ever been able to understand. If they can afford to "have a few pints before the match" then they can afford dearer tickets. If they have to have a few pints before they can make some noise heaven help them!! I've been going to matches for over 55 years now and I have never had a drink (apart from the Middlesborough match a couple of weeks ago when I was in a box) but I've always managed to make a lot of noise. (again apart from the Middlesborough match because it was very quiet in there but I did manage a few shouts)

Please don't think I'm criticising, each to his/her own, if you have to have a drink to make a noise fair enough but if you can afford the drink you can afford the dearer tickets, in my humble opinion. It just puzzles me. :-)

not really, for a few pints i might pay a tenner. the cost of a ticket is like 40 to 50 quid, bit of a difference. I'm at uni and most people my age can't afford 50 quid a week on tickets.

Nothing wrong with having a drink and enjoying yourself before the match either. Cheaper tickets would just be a good thing in general then fans of all backgrounds could be able to go again, what we have now is lots of fans being priced out especially in the 18-30 bracket who are now in the pub or at home, this didn't used the case as everyone could afford it. The german teams have vibrant atmospheric grounds full of young lads singing ( like what the english league used to be like) now the grounds are full of middle aged men ( the ones who can afford it) which affects the atmosphere.

The club need to move the singing section to the north stand,no other club move their fans when they have a cup game like city do, the club is not going to move the away fans from the south stand because of the car park at the rear,

I've been going to games since 2007 and it seems to me that the atmosphere started deteriorating around the 12/13 season. I don't think its got so much to do with our play being dull because even last year when we were demolishing teams it wasn't that great.

I'll admit i don't do much to help, but I didn't when the atmosphere was good (i don't have the pipes nor the confidence to get a chant going).

I know its the derby - I must admit this for me is the best atmosphere i've felt at the current stadium.Behind the qpr game and the 2012 derby but this was amazing.

That's exactly right, after the Aguero moment the atmosphere became colder, more demanding and expectant. Last year we saw the best football in modern City history but the atmosphere still wasn't very good most games (great pitch invasion on the last day though). There have been some impressive atmospheres since 11/12, mostly for bigger games, but the 'warmth' has been sucked out of the City matchday experience. Things like the Poznan are impossible now... heck, people won't even 'Stand up if you love City'. It's quite depressing and I'm looking forward to the new block next season which can hopefully have some effect.

Sorry about the spamming of videos - i believe this game was to determine who went to the uefa cup and a penalty was saved to stop city doing it and psycho decided to put David James upfront. Sometimes I didn't know what went through his head haha.
