anyone choosing to not go cause of examples like this or that they cant be bothered going to wembley again or its only a freindly bullshit, well you dont ever deserve a ticket for a marquee game ever again
"marquee game" my arse.

Its none of your business why people go or don't go, the match to me is totally meaningless, I won't even be watching or listening as I have something better to do. The season starts the following week, then it will get my full attention.

It's a derby...
I'm not obsessed with united, so I don't have the desire to go to watch a friendly against them.

To be fair foley is offering up his opinion on a thread PPS started himself to say why he wasn't going

Surely you'd find time to watch us play United though?

I'm not obsessed with them but would never miss watching a game vs them.

We haven't had a lot of Wembley trips in the past and I'm not going to pass up the chance to see us play there given the opportunity , whether it's a champions league final or a friendly vs Curzon Ashton.

It's also not really a friendly...that's just how it's described by the people who can't be arsed going.

Oh and all the people going are obsessed with United? Correct me if I've misunderstood that line.

For me it boils down to why you watch city. I watch city because I want to watch them play. I've watched shite friendlys at Port Vale, Rochdale, Stockport, etc... Not for glory or to be a better fan, I watch it because I want to watch city play.

I'll be at wembley because I want to watch city play, the fact that it is classed as a 'final' to win a bit of silver is a bonus.

People are calling this a meaningless friendly, well you're wrong. This is one of the 4 honours given out by the English FA and it's something we have earned the right to play for.

Go or don't I couldn't give a monkeys. I'll be there singing my heart out and jumping up and down if we win or feeling gutted if we lose.

But those who don't go because 'it means nothing', don't you ever complain about not getting a ticket or low attendances for cup games as you are just like those that stay away from them.

I'll be going, fuck me it beats playing for the Thomas Cook trophy by a country mile.

I've seen some shit excuses on this thread for reasons why people aren't going. If it carries on like this it wont be long before someone comes out with 'I don't support the fuckers anyway', cos that's the impression you're giving.

Let's get the tickets on open sale and give someone who wants to go a chance.

My thoughts exactly.
