You mention that all the time, doesn't make it right though does it and something that we have to accept surely?This might be news to you, but the U.K. isn’t the only country that people claim asylum in. In fact, we get far less applicants than France, Germany etc.

Why should we house them anywhere and give them anything?
They haven't paid into the system!!
You are aware that under the last administration anyone coming here "illegally" since about 18 months ago ( 50k + people and growing ) were not being processed so were in our system, homed and supported, forever - a cost that was not capped? They were just in limbo with nothing happening in their cases and with costs rising.
If we don't house them where do they go? On the streets? Camping in YOUR garden? If you don't give them support what do you think they will do? Steal is my guess. Are you prepared to have your Mrs mugged on your doorstep? Do you fancy having your shopping stolen as you try and load it safely in the boot of the car?
Complex problems do not come with simple 3 word slogan fixes.
