Withdrawing from the refugee convention is a stupid suggestion, which is what you seemed to be proposing. People in boats is old news, the country has moved on.

It is a hot topical political potato that the last Government effectively did nothing about and this Government will be questioned on.Withdrawing from the refugee is a stupid suggestion, which is what you seemed to be proposing. It's not old news tho is it? It is a hot topical political potato that the last Government effectively did nothing about and this Government will be questioned on.
They exaggerated the issue and then made the asylum system grind to a halt in order to get credit for solving a problem they created.
It's old news. The country decided it wasn't a big issue on July 4th.
