I see the dim factional warfare takes are back where only one side engages in bad faith. Worth going back to 2015 for both the origins of the 2 child policy and when the current battle began.

The Labour right cynically used the Tory welfare bill to undermine Burnham because he was considered too left wing like .... Ed Miliband! He predictably folded and torpedoed his own chances. This let in Corbyn and they have been seething about it since.

9 years on their preferred candidate,Liz Kendall, has got the welfare brief. Going to be entertaining watching posters jump through hoops to justify her every move.

Amazing how he’s reinvented himself since he was released from prison.
