The Labour Government

Giving it people who live in Spain (other countries are available), always struck me as a bit mad as well..
That's true, but a lot of people like my Mum were just over the limit for pension credit and had to pay full Council tax and no help with the mortgage for people that still had one

What would the Tories have done?
They would have kept it, they increased it and kept the tripple lock that these lying bastards will scap next year when inflation takes off again, oh if you have a Company or private pension get your 25%tax free lump sum out now if you are over 55 before these fuckers tax it

Haha, when you are in power, you should expect the electorate to question decisions. We are a democracy not a dictatorship are we not.

My advice would be firstly to try not to be so sensitive and secondly get used to it. I've questioned a few things but will judge them in five years.
Don’t need any advice thanks. Your hypocrisy though needs looking into maybe

Time will teach you that they are all a bunch of lying thieving bastards. The moment you realise that is when you begin to understand it doesn't matter who is in power we are getting shafted whether we like it or not.
100% this every time!

All politicians are only in for it to see what they can get out of it.

Comfortable salary, extremely generous expense accounts.

Time will also teach you that we need proportional representation. To think we have a government with such immense power and authority over a country where less than 35% of the public want them in power is despicable. We all want our votes to count.

Speaking further to my aunt this morning (who is over the limit for everything), she has now told me that her 77 year old husband has taken on a part time job in the last few weeks. Their savings have been badly eroded over the last few years, what with fuel bills and other rising prices.
77!!! Worked from when he was a 14 year old paperboy (where he once met Ian Brady who used to call into the newsagents for his daily paper, but that's another story) then in engineering and then ended up as a hospitality manager until he retired at 65.
She did admit that they have "middle class tastes but working class pockets" but it just goes to show how hard these recent years have been on some who should be happily retired.

For sure mate, teachers, fire etc etc. It’s bonkers when you think about it that they get above inflation pay awards yet we still might have a proverbial “winter of discontent” and that’s solely down to a very bullish pay award to junior doctors and now the gloves are off, the next 12 months are going to be interesting. I get why he wanted it done, perhaps it just proves the old saying that no good deed goes unpunished.
I see that Reeves has today said that the cost of the outsize pay settlement for junior doctors is a ‘drop in the ocean’ compared to the cost of industrial action in the NHS.

That’s a great negotiating position for when the other NHS workers come for their 22% pay rise! You do genuinely have to question her intelligence when she makes comments like that.

All im saying is you need to possibly relax a little, its an internet chat forum. You and I have had many a good debate over the years have we not.

Pls point out my hypocrisy?

I voted for Labour last month, so I want them to do well. I have few doubts that they will be an improvement on our last Government, but that doesn't mean they won't make mistakes and won't please everyone.
