Let me know when scientists run the world mate.Thought not.
I cheered and did fist pumps in the air when I found out that Thatcher was deadShe was racist, sexist and homophobic. Didn't just butter up cruel foreign leaders, but actively supported them.
If we're to suggest that being principled is good, even when those "principles" are vile, then we're heading towards Godwin's law territory.
You managed to squeeze in just about every cliche in the book in there.
Congrats.
Are they? Does it matter. He's in the job and in this instance all that matters is he gets the best deal for the UK. Pulling out the invitation from the King was a trump card. You just knew Trump would love it. Soft power at its best. You can tell Tories and Reform are absolutely gutted by how well Starmer played it and the praise he was getting.
With Trump, Putin and Xi it’s actually cunts running the world but that doesn’t mean what they say is correct.Let me know when scientists run the world mate.
I get the impression that Starmer is taking over from Macron during his previous term of trying to balance the relationship between the US and the whole of Europe as Macron may well be out of government before Trump term end.The reality is that a sane UK PM knows the limits of his/her power. I suspect a hostile USA will drive the UK into the EU camp, but we cannot stand alone. I imagine Starmer hopes he can moderate Trump's position. That may be a fantasy, as the man is unstable and unreliable. Indeed, he makes Adolf seem relatively rational by comparison.
I don't envy Starmer's task, but I can't see anyone around who would handle this better. (I don't see crawling up Trump's arse as 'better'.)
Can you imagine the lettuce being there as PMI get the impression that Starmer is taking over from Macron during his previous term of trying to balance the relationship between the US and the whole of Europe as Macron may well be out of government before Trump term end.
They both seem to understand his ego and use it to their advantage.
Seeing both of them pushback against Il Dunce and his staff on their turf is more encouraging than some of the pole smoking other leaders have done to Trump.
She'd have turned up wearing one of her BDSM outfits. Can you imagine the lettuce being there as PM
It's just an IOU. There's no money.
Honey trap. He'll be picked off when he reaches the palace gates.Nothing against Starmer in this case apart from the toe curling embarrassing letter from the King part.
Anyone sucking up to that **** annoys me:-)
I can’t believe she’s been out there giving speeches on how to be stupid. Can you imagine the lettuce being there as PM

You seem to be struggling with the concept that not everyone holds the same principles. Her principles even had a name…. thatcherism.
I think her ‘special adviser’ told her to “stick to what you know best”!I can’t believe she’s been out there giving speeches on how to be stupid.
She was a twatPatronising and ironic ;)
Just because someone has some economic principles (which were a lot less coherent than "Thatcherism" suggests), doesn't mean that they can't have other principles which are pretty much universally considered vile.
A refreshing old style resignationDodds resigns over cut in foreign aid. Don't agree with her reasons but admire principles.
