Labour's Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill is going through Parliament at the moment.


We live in a democracy, and the proposals need to go through multiple stages in Parliament before they become law.

In the meantime, they've started working with, rather than arguing with, the French, who I believe are also introducing new powers for their border patrols.

I'm hopeful that ultimately we'll get an agreement with France over safe routes/exchanges, so that we can stop the dangerous crossings, while still upholding our own commitment to accepting refugees (bearing in mind that we currently accept a hell of a lot less than most countries in Europe).

So, lets have a look at that ...
In London over half of the available social housing is occupied by a foreign born household. If I was born and raised in London, I am in need of social housing, has my life not been changed ? If those foreign born had not arrived here would my chances of a decent home not be improved.

If I apply for a place at the school of my choice for my child but I cannot get a place because it is oversubscribed due to an influx of migrant families with their children in my area - Has my life not changed ? Has my child'd life not changed?

If I need to go to hospital for an operation but I have to wait ...........

I could go on but I will stop.
The price of immigration is paid for in life chances by the poorest in our society, even Starmer is now admitting that obvious fact.Our politicians just haven't had the courage to admit their mistakes. Look up Mette Frederiksen a social democrat Prime Minister of Denmark and see what she has had the courage to say about this.

Peoples lives have been changed massively and irreversibly for the worse by the scale of immigration in this country.

If you need to go to hospital for an operation, it'll probably be some of those pesky foreigners who do your pre-op, your op and the looking after you while you recuperate.

Plus you can expect another one of those pesky foreigners working as a postman to deliver you a Wetherspoon's gift card from Nigel any day now.

I don't think the point is you either let no one in or shit loads, what a stupid argument unless you think every immigrant works in the NHS and for some strange reason we are desperate for posties or society will collapse.

One day the half wits will understand its the numbers that become a problem and the powers that be love excessive numbers. The amount of people who want to make it easier for the population to be shit on by business is bizarre.

I can only presume they are doing alright and like others struggling.

Capitalism has reached that perfect balance when just enough are doing well enough materially out of it that change has become almost impossible.

Brexit is at the root of it all. Putin used farage, Cambridge analytica and misinformation to bring about Brexit. Boris, trump farage and musk are just his puppets. They work in concert to prey on the mentally vulnerable, low IQ racists to seed anti-EU, pro far right/ fossil fuel and antivax conspiracies and manipulate democracy. One thing labour is doing right is getting us closer to the EU - hopefully rejoining will put an end to this nonsense and undo the recent attack on trans women by the high court.

The powers that be do not love excessive numbers. The powers that be have been trying to cap the number of immigrants for as long as I can remember.

The economy dictates the numbers and the powers that be need the economy to work and for the economy to work it needs the numbers and round and round we go.

In summary there are too many foreign folk in London. Not sure we needed the tearful ode to brighter or should that be whiter times?

And yes, London is the most diverse place in the UK and home to around 9 million or 13% of the UK population. London also accounts for 25% of UK’s GDP so those 13% are doing a lot heavy lifting on our behalf. Which is pretty decent of all those foreign folk don’t you think?

Yes, they have. We’ve had migration caps/targets/reskilling programs/hostile environments and sending elderly grandmothers back to WI by the powers that be, who I repeat, do not like excessive numbers. It is the last thing that want to see when figures are collated.

‘I love immigrants and the more the merrier’ said no politician ever.

Unfortunately, they do love an economy that booms. And for that you invariably need people because a booming economy relies on people and…well, you know the rest.
