Do you mean like putting horsemeat rather than beef in ready meals?
not just that I' afraidThat was Findus buying "beef" from Romania wasn't it?
Not sure the government got blamed for that, but probably would now as everything is their fault, whether true or not.Do you mean like putting horsemeat rather than beef in ready meals?
The beef that would be exported would have been farmed to at least the same standard as the UK. Heard a farmers spokesman on the radio say that it’s a very good deal, for both countries.Should we be letting the market decide when it comes to food safety? Why have any controls at all?
I won't be buying it until someone answers the question I asked before. Why was it unsafe yesterday, but safe now.
Wouldn’t quite class Dartford as Islington, I voted for Corbyn previously, I agree with socialist ideals , however as a compromise I’m relieved this current Labour government is in charge after the 14 years of Tories and the rise of Reform- they are doing good but up against a tidal wave of constant abuse and negativity from the press and social media.
Why ? Lower interest rates reap a load of benefits for home buyers, owners, Goverment spending and cost of borrowing. It’s good news.
I think you may find that there are a lot of more distinguished people on the politics forum who have no need for those things and lose out on savings when they lower the interest rates. Why ? Lower interest rates reap a load of benefits for home buyers, owners, Goverment spending and cost of borrowing. It’s good news.

Then it’s down to you whether you’d buy US beef or stick to what we have now.
Any US beef I've eaten has been great and I've not grown an extra head or anything. Why did we block it from coming in before?
We were told it was because it didn't meet our food standards.
Has our standards changed, or has their beef and chicken changed?
None of our food standards have changed, the NFU were very strict on that and I don’t think we’d change them anyway as we’re still trying to strike deals with the EU.Why did we block it from coming in before?

I am not sure why you would be excited about this.
The business is haemorrhaging money that the taxpayer is now on the hook for.
Don't get me wrong, for strategic reasons I agree with the governments decision to step in but where are the new orders to justify this increase in production and recruitment?
The economics haven't changed - our energy prices are too high for this business to be viable on its own merits.
