My issue with him is that there is NEVER anything constructive to say-ever, it's all sniping. He started with Labour in Wales has to go, that progressed to blaming Labour nationally for everything from his car insurance going up (it actually went down) and being personally worse off. When challenged there is/was no evidence to show that is the case, and that applies to more recent examples. He also claimed his intention to vote Reform was nothing more than a protest vote, but I'm not sure a floating voter makes that decision 4 years out from a GE.I know but how many times are you gonna do it? It doesn't appear to be working.
It would be really easy to just ignore him but as you say it's a footy forum and if someone spouts contradictory and false rhetoric then why shouldn't other posters( and it's clearly not just me) challenge him on it? The usual lack of response or ability to defend his position strengthens the "sniper" analogy.
You and I don't often see eye to eye but at least we both try to have a constructive debate when necessary, I think.
You're right that he won't change his mind, but if nothing else, being challenged may sow a seed that a right wing populist party may seem a good idea on paper but will do nothing for the good of the UK. Every vote wil count as we have seen in Runcorn with Pochin.
PS. And his username sours my memories of a childhood hero. ;-)
