Not forgetting the numerous times Starmer called for resignations and the numerous times he preached how anyone caught doing anything corrupt on his watch would be out straight away.
In the scheme of things, what she's done is pretty fucking minor, it's not worth all the teeth gnashing that's going on. As I said, I'm not a fan at all, she's comes across like a bit of a dick, but the pile on is pathetic. From what I've read, and I'm sure people will tell me if I'm wrong, she made a mistake in assuming that one of her residences didn't count in terms of paying a rate of stamp duty. It's possible she did it deliberately, but it's possible she actually just made a mistake, either way, it's fuck all in comparison to the grift from others. The political conversation in this country is fucked.

You're missing the point of what I posted. It matters not how big or little the indiscretion was. It's about her and Starmer's continued preaching that if anything occurred on their watch they would be out. We are seeing now that was just words from both of them, a stick to beat the tories with at the time of them saying it. AS I said in my post, it's the hypocrisy of the pair of them that is pissing people off.
Good for you, you're awesome, but from what I've read, it's entirely possible she's made a mistake but everyone is so quick to jump specifically on her, primarily because parts of the media and twitter get everyone so wound up about her. They don't like northerners getting out their box you see.

No, that's how you've interpreted my posts. I've even made it clear I don't particularly like her, she comes across like a knob, but the hysteria over her, not just over this, but over anything about her in general, speaks of snobbery towards a northern woman in a position of power. Same with Rachel Reeves. And if she did do this deliberately then she should go, simple as. But considering what others have done, this whole thing is pretty depressing.
