I wouldn't imagine anyone would get in on their own, it would be interesting to see if not have to live through it which coalition/coalitions would be in place

I absolutely disagree with that. Our so called democracy has ended up with a Goverment not representative of the majority. Very poor turnout, the silent majority withheld their vote.

I agree with a lot of that but to claim we live in a democracy and somehow our govt represent most people is truly hilarious, I mean so funny it must be a wind up.
I think this lot got around 19% of the eligible vote or a third of those voting. The previous lot got more but certainly not most people or anything to brag about.

Their little minority demographic was slightly bigger than others little minority demographic.

It is a tricky one though. Ultimately, anyone that went to that rally has feelings emotive enough that they were willing to support the likes of Tommy Robinson and those at the speeches cheered the sentiments of Musk. I’m not sure how people aren't going to be judgmental about that.

It really is a different world now.

Democracy can mean lots of things. Take unions for example. There has to be a minimum turnout for a vote to be legal-why? Democracy also includes CHOOSING not to vote be it in a GE or for a strike. Unfortunately 13 million chose not to vote in 2016 and all the signs are they were 2:1 in favour of remaining, so there was unlikely a "real" majority to leave either. That's water under the bridge now, but goes to highlight that democracy can mean whole load of different things.

FPTP works for a 2, maybe, 3 main party system, but with such fragmentation it's probably seen its' day.

It would be a point but I did quote just those who voted as well, if you get 32% you dont represent the majority, nowhere near and that's before we talk about individual.policies.

The poster claimed we have a democratic process and if you dont vote for the winner then your view can't represent the majority of the people indicating the winning party does. This just isn't true, not at all. We are a very splintered country, probably the most divided we have ever been.

I’m more concerned with my vote for them just over 12 months ago and expecting much more from them rather than what we are getting, more of the same.

There were at least 150,000 people who turned up though mate and it's the characterization of all of them as thugs, which only amplifies their indignation. If we want a harmonious society, it's entirely the wrong approach.

And the small boats problem is easily remedied by any government with the will to do so.

Well, the political suicide being committed by not stopping the boats would suggest it is more difficult than we envisage.
