Pogi looking gutted on the podium but I love that he puts himself on the line and gives his all to win 1 day races like this. What a bike race, poor positioning from UAE on the Cipressa but MVDP looked like he could cover every move even if UAE had of gone even harder
What he’s doing for the sport is immense, he’ll take on anybody and push them close. Pog, MVDP,Wout and Remco understand what the fans want to see, they race on instinct and put on a show.Pogi looking gutted on the podium but I love that he puts himself on the line and gives his all to win 1 day races like this.
How many TdF/Giro/Vuelta winners enter and compete in the Monuments like he does? Love him to bits.
Hats off to Ganna too, would’ve loved to see him win also.
100% with you on all of that pal. Especially JV. I love watching all the other riders you’ve mentioned and enjoy seeing them win. But with JV it doesn’t feel the same. What he’s doing for the sport is immense, he’ll take on anybody and push them close. In my opinion I think it’s why Vingegaard is at a level slightly below them, not only for his palmares lacking depth outside of his 2x TDF and some one week stage races but also the lack of panache and personality. Maybe I’m being harsh on Jonas and perhaps it’s more that he rides for Visma that I struggle to see him at the same level as those mentioned above.
Froome was very similar as well, mostly stages races with the occasional appearance at a one day race where as Pogacar seems to need the quantity of races he does to maintain peak form.100% with you on all of that pal. I would love to see him at Lombardia and LBL for example, but he’s so choosy. Reminds me of Armstrong in that respect.
Good to read you’re so engaged pal - same here!Froome was very similar as well, mostly stages races with the occasional appearance at a one day race where as Pogacar seems to need the quantity of races he does to maintain peak form.
It’s why I want them both to stay upright between now and the start of July, going into the Tour with no excuses and both teams with their best riders to go toe to toe and see who comes out on top. So many subplots as well with the Yates brothers, return of Kuss. Maybe I’m getting too far ahead of myself dreaming about July, still a long way to go
100% completely redolent of LA.100% with you on all of that pal. Especially JV. I love watching all the other riders you’ve mentioned and enjoy seeing them win. But with JV it doesn’t feel the same.

Where are you watching the cycling CB? Now there’s no Eurosport, no cycling channel for me:(Pogi looking gutted on the podium but I love that he puts himself on the line and gives his all to win 1 day races like this.

The bike looks bad but his body does look sore:(View attachment 150940
Now having had a few offs myself I fully sympathise with the rider but I’m upset beyond belief at the 7k frame set that’s been turned into a Picasso installation.
Poor fucker. Have septic bursitis in my elbow after coming off in Tenerife. Think I’d be feeling worse though if my frame looked like that.View attachment 150940

Yep, not seen it yet either, but he’s some exciting rider isn’t he?!Haven’t seen today but he had a really impressive win on stage 1

I’d love Pog to win PR but just don’t see how he drops MVP, especially Given what we saw at MSR. It just shows how utterly difficult it is to win all 5. Merckx, man.MVP smashing up the E3, with Pog signing up for Paris Roubaix it’s going to be serious fireworks.
