The Pro Road Cycling Thread

Supposedly an easier day today after yesterday and another mammoth day tomorrow, but this still looks a challenging trip into Slovenia.
Will only be watching till 3pm today though then it’s over to sky sports of course :-)

Looking forward to see Cav back in the tour de France :)
Yep! A beautiful morning, and the Tour about to start. Cannot wait.
Off out for a couple of hours now, then it’s back in front of the telly for Stage 1 and a few Breton crepes for lunch - aka my Nutella pancakes.
I’ve decided to try a TdF25% riding a quarter of the race distance every day. Got the idea from a bloke doing 50% of the distance but there’s no way I’ve got time (or energy) to do that for 3 weeks!

Will Cav get some stages?
Pog or Rog?
Who will emerge as the Ineos lead, in the battle for 3rd place?
MvdP vs Van Aert
So much to look forward to, bring it on

I have booked next week off so it's going to be seeing if I can get myself motivated to get on back on my dads old bike. Than watching the tour

My eyes are on the British lads.

Can’t wait to see Cav back! And how’s Froome going to perform after his injury, and psychologically not being the main man in his new team? Can Thomas do it again, and will he still be wearing those shite sunglasses from 2002? What about the Yates brothers?

Only Simon Yates is riding the tour, Adam is going to The Vuelta I presume to Co Lead with Bernal

Todays first stage my pick is Wout Van Art at a decent 5/1
Valverde at 50/1 looks a good EW bet.

For the overall, i have to go Thomas @ 5/1 as Ineos have the best team,

Superman Lopez is a decent EW @40/1

Outsider Ben O'Connor @250/1

Bernal has hinted he won't be doing La Vuelta.

Looking forward to the Tour. Fascinating dynamic with the best squad of riders against the two best individual riders.

At least four stages in which their is a good probability of crosswinds. Could be crucial. As well as multi mountain stages that are prime for ambushes. I am convinced this is going to be the best Tour in years.
