Only saw first ten minutes and then the whole of the second half; will watch full first half this evening.

Enjoyed what I saw. Hope the main formation of 4-3-3 will continue into the season.

Been impressed with a lot of the kids in this and Melbourne City game but I wouldn't jump to any firm conclusions about them. However, it's hard not to think Kelechi is a star in the making. I do hope that we are going to see the likes of him, Lopes and Denayer as part of the first team squad.

Denayer is ready.

In fact, he is more than ready. I can see why he's already an international, and the whole point of the academy is that it would produce someone like this.

For me it's him and Kompany as the 2

Won't happen though, they've spent far too much money on Mangala. I don't want to lose this kid for the sake of a price tag.

He's just signed a 5 year contract and will be in and around the first team next year. He's going nowhere. I believe Kompany and Mangala will start the season but he'll get his chance, Kompany will no doubt get numerous injuries again next season and Demi will be used more sparingly. I imagine we'll see Denayer and Mangala paired against Madrid. Who's to say that won't become our best pairing?

Nice to see us jumping on somebody because of one pre-season game too. Kolarov's performance was pretty poor but the slagging off is unnecessary. There was nothing in his performance that suggested to me he couldn't be arsed, he just had a relatively poor game.

Kelechi is ready, he's got 3rd striker nailed for next season imo. We've got some very very talented youngsters but he stands out even amongst the best of his age.

I've had nothing but admiration for Manu Garcia on this tour, he had another excellent 45 today and he's slotted in seamlessly but i think it would be more beneficial for him to play every week on loan somewhere for now.

I'd be perfectly happy with Lopes taking nasri's spot in the squad, i think he's ready but with Nasri looking like he will stay, will he get enough game time? I think Lopes is the trickiest situation of all our youngsters, Kelechi and Denayer you can see a path for them, the others probably aren't quite there just yet but Lopes looks like he is but he's going to have to contend with Silva, Sterling, Nasri, Navas maybe Yaya and potentially De Bruyne.

Hopefully they'll both be someone else's scapegoats come the start of the season. The look on Dzeko and Jovetic's face said it all. We need to ship all the mard arses out because they clearly don't have the stomach to fight for their places.

Just looking at them both sat there like petulant little boys made me think "they could have a real negative impact on the dressing room". Ship them out ASAP City.

I must say I do agree. We can sign Pogba, Messi and Maradona but if we don't learn to take set pieces seriously we will miss out on so many points.
