Lipton has always been a tool, comes across as a really odious bloke.

Love this clip of him from Chelsea TV - the presenter is great, she really gets under his skin.

"A dressing room source, was it a locker? Was it a flip-flop? - Classic! I'm guessing in a football discussion between Martin Lipton and a 'flip-flop', the flip-flop would win hands down! Nice to see Paddy jumping to the defence of a fellow journalist and defending the honour of his profession. The way he 'copped a deaf 'en' he obviously has the same opinion of Lipton as we do.

Re: Sunday Supplement 14/15 Thread

The Chelsea woman didn't take any shit from the little shit. I love the dirty look he gave her when he realised he wasn't in for an easy ride.

As I said previously, you only need to check his comments out when we signed Aguerro to know he knows nothing about football.

Sadly, it's not all that easy to sue these days.
The defamation laws changed in 2013 requiring requiring any profit making business (City) to prove serious financial loss regardless of what's said.

Also, if the person making the accusations has a genuine / honest belief, and that most honest people could come to the same conclusion as he/she did, then that's an allowable defence.

We wouldn't win this case. Sorry. It's not right what he said, and he clearly had very little knowledge of our business, but we'd simply not win this case.
Bollocks, not a chance would we have to wait to see how much we lost in a financial way before we could sue, also who determines the honest from the wankers in this allowable defence?

Presume he means this:

Lipton, of course, was vindicated. Aguero's two goals on his debut, within 30 minutes of being on the pitch, clearly demonstrated that he's "not the type of player to make an immediate impact". Arf.
