4D chess incoming people, hold onto your hats and don’t cuss city out just yet.

You can’t destroy shapeless Demons hiding in the shadow, first you have to get them to show themselves and take it from there
The men are in the basement wearing blue orchids with torches lit.

It was code, right?

What tom foolery is this?

We got into bed with them, even a strategic exit has left us tainted for a long time.

We don't come out of this in a good light no matter what goes down in the next few days/weeks

Money. That is why every owner is involved in Premier League football. There are financial returns to be had. am not sure what we have now is much better because UEFA absolutely screwed Manchester City because we threatened Manchester United and Liverpool. It's all economic interest backed up with politics, and sham such as financial fair play which is just a tool to screw a rival club who has less sponsorship revenue than you have.
i don’t think it’s about money but more like “fuck you uefa “ but now city got played big time or city is playing big time and just the start of “sit your ass down uefa and talk “ .

What makes me angry and gutted is that we believed and backed the club through FFP bolloxs and the CAS appeal, getting abuse just for wearing my city shirt and constantly sticking up for my club I've followed for 41 yrs, constant snipes off other glory hunting twats and it takes its toll and now they have shit on us from a great height and said thankyou but get fucked.....heartbreaking.....

I was just about to post the same thing mate. The whole FFP ban really felt like it was 'us' the club and fans v UEFA and pretty much everyone else. I celebrated the CAS verdict like a city goal. Khaldoon spoke pointedly afterwards and Pep was vociferous in defending the club. (He spoke well again today to his credit).

So now, for the club to join up with the same people who were actively conspiring against us only a few months ago... its sickening.

Even if we back out of it, the damage has been done. A journalist likened it to when Liverpool opted out of Furlough. It was the right thing to do but what were they thinking in the first place.

We had a chance to mark ourselves out as different to other top clubs. To stand by the Premier League and defend the English game (when we bought the first FA Cup recently I'm pretty sure the press release referenced how important English football was to the club. Empty words now).

We could have gained back some of the good will from the football community, which has been lost since the takeover. But more importantly it was the right thing to do by the the fans, the same fans who's loyalty kept this club in existence not too long ago. But instead, they chose greed and have alienated large parts of a fan base that have stuck by them through thick and thin. They had an open goal and smashed it over the bar. Maybe typical City isn't dead after all...

To be honest, I agree with these sentiments:

Football has been about greed for a long time. Sky 'invented' the premier league for greed and cut the top division from 22 teams to 20, then banging up the subscription cost and putting games on Pay per view during a pandemic. Players earning more money in a week than most people do in a year. The champions league no longer just featuring the 'Champions'. How about Gary Neville and his rag mates binning of the FA cup in 2000, which he didn't bring up on Sky after banging on about the integrity of football. Rio being paid in full for his suspension then wanting a raise which he forgot about on BT.

This isn't so much about a war on football as it is the media Mafia shoving their agenda down our throats because they have been left behind. The club's who aren't involved definitely would have 'turned this down'. I heard from the Tranmere owner earlier. Yeah, I'm sure you wouldn't have been part of this if you were invited.
