Quoting American sports franchises as a model to follow shows a total lack of understanding how sports teams(they are almost exclusivity not having a history of being developed as a result of the franchise model) in the UK and Europe had developed over time, in fact attendance wise the NBA and NHL both aren't eye opening and while the NFL post strong numbers that's largely based on the fact they are playing around 10 home games a season(including pre-season and possible post season minus international "home" games).I don't think they would get bored.
