I think you're the only poster on here who has a raging erection for a Europe superleague. May I ask why?

If I've got the wrong end of the stick I apologise.
Maybe the hate against UEFA fuels me but also rationalism.

The European Court ruled in Basketball and Skating for a Super League , so why would they not rule the same in Football ?

It's an unwinnable Case for UEFA , UEFA and FiFA are monopolys in every way u look at it.

Why do you hate UEFA but support a super league who will be controlled by the very clubs who have been manipulating a weak UEFA for their own ends?

It's a strange position to take, imo.

Not supporting it but reporting it's going to come , maybe even this Summer. The Court case is unwinnable for UEFA

UEFA greediness will be the end of them, not a fan of ESL but my hate for UEFA is bigger.

I am not sure those cases you are quoting mean what you think they mean.

And with all due respect to you, the ISU and the FIBA, there is much more at stake, with much more influential stakeholders, with football than there is with skating and basketball.

I am guessing a compromise will come out of this. UEFA gets to regulate the game and manage tournaments (perfectly legal under the TFEU) as long as it allows other tournaments which must be pre-authorised using certain criteria which are set to the benefit of the game. Doesn't that exist already?

Then we all start again when UEFA turn down a new ESL. Could last forever, this.

Here is analysis in more detail which goes against yours.

i was thinking about the super league format just the other day and thought maybe its not a bad idea after all ?
the same old clubs will be still on the super league board. but i think manchester city being in the precision of one of the best teams in europe we also would demand a major place on the board of the super league.

look the more money the top clubs can make each year they would jump and be all over it in a flash
but i feel SKY sports feared losing the honey pot of subscription based football. the did what anybody else would do and formed a group of numpty's so call fans ? vigilantes. give them all the media support needed to start a war on greedy clubs owners

but the truth is skysports did just that back in 1992 and offered crazy money because of a dish and subscription fees.
sky knew the super league was not involving them but internet based companies blowing them out of the water ?

maybe the super league is not a bad idea but sky have bloody made it 100% wrong because of fear of missing out
i would take sky not backing the break away super league with a pinch of salt. because i feel they are working on something behind the fans back with there new sky Glass tv without a dish and will partner the major internet sites in the near future

I was reading the Times article on the ECJ case and one of the reasons (two quoted in the article) for the ESL, according to RM, B and J, was that it was the only way to control state-ownership of clubs (or some such words, behind a paywall now).

Any City fan supporting the ESL should know what to expect when the lunatics are running the asylum.

This expert doesn't seem to have much knowledge and is just speculating.

ESL is not a Cartel. A Cartel is if someone stops a competition to be created. While for us Footballs Fans ESL is a Cartell, they still allow other competition to be created. The Champions League would still exist just without the big Teams. So in Justice Terms , ESL is not a Cartell.

European law, if it respects the European treaties, cannot rule in favor of an unnatural private monopoly. It must promote “free competition”. And this, even if the jurists opposed to the Superleague highlight article 165 of the Treaty of Lisbon acting as a“specificity of sport”

a Sports Lawyer also said they win everything on Court.

If u Read the Case in the European Court of Justice Website, it's not only 1 Law that UEFA is breaking, the ESL Company is suing them for 6 Law breaches. What is also surprising that they are suing FIFA alongside UEFA
