Legally, any threats to kick clubs out of the Premier League or ban players from internationals will probably not survive legal challenges.
Which is a shame.

Why, did someone twist the clubs' arms to sign up to the rules of the PL or FA/UEFA etc? If it's not done under duress then surely the rules take precedence.

The best thing about CL is the fallout when a top club misses out on top 4. They want to take that away in 2024, Nearly as bad as ESL

This is what these clubs have wanted, but the reason they've left is that the new plans were to share more of the money around. They REALLY don't want that. UEFA will knock that on the head and it will return back to what it is but with more money and share for these clubs as well as not being able to be knocked out.

You can tell Americans have thought this up. Only they would have a competition that you cannot be relegated or enter without an invite. This is just a license to print money and protect their investments, like the World Series and NFL, which some of them are involved in also. They will also do that to the Prem sooner than later.
I hoped Sheik Mansour wasn't cut from the same cloth as those money grabbing American owners, but it looks like he is.

The NFL divides money equally among its 32 teams. They have player free agency allowing player movement but more importantly they also have a salary cap which all teams have to adhere to prevent teams stockpiling all the best players by paying the biggest contracts. Also the NFL draft which gives the worst team the previous season first pick of the best new talent coming out of college. A Superbowl winner is not therefore decided by who has the most money.

@Prestwich_Blue or anyone in the know - does the stadium lease have any clauses about the tenant (i.e City) having to abide by the rules and regs of the FA?

I don't know but I doubt it.
