JP Morgan have backed the initiative with $6bn in debt financingI wonder who is providing the finance for this ?
Can anyone think of someone with oodles of cash who might be interested ?
Maybe, just maybe, it is AD pulling the strings here. In comparison the other owners don't have a pot to piss in.
Where are there refs coming from, who controls them ?
the current system may be elitist but it's open ended to a certain extent - you can break in with investment etc. There may well be truth in what you say about the global expansion but at the end of the day the CL formats is flawed particularly with the new intended changes anyway.
As I said as long as there is a process for allowing new teams in and excluding others on merit (including the so called founder members) I don’t have a problem with it.
Of course it’s elitist but the system we have already is. The difference is this to me would appear to be “managed” by a bigger group of clubs than the current cosy cartel.
The levels of hysteria in the press about this are genuinely incredible.
You've got actual reporters suggesting a Tory government might nationalise the football clubs and seize 51% of ownership of these privately owned businesses to distribute to fans.
Do you think that every single decision/idea is some kind of ploy against us? Literally everything you post is as though everything is anti City. Your club is invited to a league formed from other super clubs from our nation and others. One of the elite. And all you can think about is how it is going to be another plot to topple us?Where are there refs coming from, who controls them ?
Whatever way i look at it we will be knifed
Sorry SWP's back, but even a bit pissed at 03:00 the use of 'is' is actually correct.
City is a singular term, therefore 'is' is the correct way to refer to us. For example 'John is a twat' means that this John is a twat in the same way that City is a founding member means that City is a twat
