Good news is that the match thread will be a lot less work for the mods as it appears there will only be me in it on Wednesday night.Why? Who gives a monkeys any more? I've had a ticket at this club for 47 years and I feel utterly utterly let down that we're even a part of it. We're tarnished, and now no better than that lot over the city. The season has now fallen completely flat for me. Count me out

Even if it does become a borefest with the same teams competing year in year out.It's the NBA or the NFL. They are decent competitions. They are crammed with awesome talent. The security of no relegation is huge in those scenarios.
Relegation/Promotion are part of the tradition of football but it's very risky.
Given where we are now I think football will thrive within this new structure in the long term just as well if not more than in the previous traditional structure.
So we can't dominate in the current format? We can't be a club that stands up for the soul of football?Where did they think the end game was then? And as I say, they were ok with being invested in, heavily, enable us to dominate, but now we are being asked to be part of something that domination has made us into, it's bye bye City for them?
