I just don't see it that way. These were Khaldoon's words at the end of last season...

When you read those words now you have to wonder whether the club has been behind this idea for some time.
If anyone thinks that Khaldoon got a call out of the blue on Friday from Gill saying 'we're forming a Super League, are you in or out?' then that is very naive. This has been brewing for a while. It may even have been playing in the background during the CAS case, which is quite staggering when you think about it.

Paul Nolan - I once knew when he was HR at the FA. He is now head of Nolan Partners. Don't know what board he may be on but likely to be the same Paul Nolan. From memory he's a big Everton fan.

I feel exactly the same way as I did learning about it yesterday - our club has aligned itself with the red tops that we have despised for years and in doing so completely alienating the fanbase.

I am absolutely livid.............
I'm not happy with it, it's fuckin disgusting, but its going to happen. It's being driven by the American owned clubs because the dippers haven't been qualifying regularly, when the rags qualify they get booted to the Thursday night pub team league and arsenal don't look like qualifying for the next ten years at least

I never thought the red clubs would win the war and end my love for the club I have supported for over 50 years. Worst case scenario we lose the money and go back to little old city, fighting the occasional relegation and dreaming of a Wembley cup final. Today I am beaten and my club has gone.
