I want domestic competition. If football is based on your financial assets its not football. Of course it largely is already but this is a swing of the pendulum too far."Unfair" -- mate, do you know how the Super League will view this?
"It's unfair that a club that's part of the Super League has to drag along some schlub club like Burnley by playing them twice a season, helping them financially, when they could be using the same time and resources to be playing Real Madrid in OUR league, to our benefit, and to the benefit of City themselves."
We're leaving the Prem. So we don't need to worry about the "stratification." We won't be a part of it at some point.
PSG out them out so they're gone regardlessThey’ll just put the clubs knocked out in the last round through.
No wonder Bayern are quiet.
Pissed off is an understatementNot sure what has pissed you off. City are advised that several clubs resent EUFA's control of revenues from the CL and they have 2 options. Tell them we are not interested because we are not your best mates or be pragmatic and reluctantly stand up to EUFA?
Suggest you spend big on the lottery this week as you clearly have exceptional abilities to see the future.Speculation based on logic, and the experience of watching American sports leagues thrive (more or less) for 50+ years.
Why the hell would the Super League want centavo one generated by its clubs circulating anywhere but within the league itself? City will get 57 matches a year in the league (one home, one away, one neutral venue against each other member), and probably a newfangled random draw Cup, and playoffs -- that'll be 70 matches a year with every drop part and parcel of the Super League.
It's the inevitable outcome.
