I think a 15 point deduction for all teams involved is in order. That would leave the top four at the moment as : City 68 pts Leicester 66pts, West Ham 62, Everton 59.
I’d be more than happy to accept this and play out an arranged draw tomorrow with no tackling to REALLY boil some piss.
can't argue with that

Well CAS is not Tebas I think. He must have a major conflict of interest though representing both UEFA and Real Madrid/FC Barcelona.

He's in a position where he shouldn't care who qualifies from la liga as long as at least 4 teams qualify. There will be 4 pissed off Spanish teams if he tries to fight a ban. And let's face it these Madrid and Barca need to be banned nothing else will do

Fully agree. I am not sure what kind of punishment UEFA can give those 3 clubs, which a) is considerably harder than what they gave the other 9 clubs, and b) is not some sort of ban. Pay more money?

In any case I hope the 3 fuckers are now sweating in the same way as City had to do while UEFA were trying to get us banned for FFP. At least it should hamper their transfer dealings for the time until they know the punishment, as they can hardly plan without knowing if they get to play in the CL.

I wonder if CITY planned this all in a machiavellian epic plan to join ESL with a plan to pull out, renounce it and kill the project leaving Barca and Madrid 'holding the baby' and high and dry with UEFA and facing possible ban........could the CITY boys be that clever? Our involement in this ESL is still a mystery to me tbh
We have been over and over the cunning plan idea. we just panicked and didn't want to be left outside pissing in.

The new ffp is this independent Regulator that rat face been going on about for everyone two sign to put through the commons! Oh edwood did speak to Boris the clown and he thought ESL was a good idea! Also once edwood leaves the scum wouldn't be surprised if this independent Regulator gets the go ahead he won’t be involved in some way!

A transfer ban? On the grounds that with the change in UEFA regulations any player they buy would risk being banned from UEFA and FIFA competitions?

That's your view so maybe you can explain how our constant contact with UEFA over that long weekend fits in with the idea of panic.
From everything that has been reported we as a club were told it was a join now or stay outside. I don't think the top brass at the club were happy about it but I think it was fear of being left behind that made the club jump. If you have any other explanations such as being a mole or a stooge for EUFA please tell because to me that doesn't make sense. I don't think we will ever know the full story but I think my explanation fits better than the alternatives. I think we were in constant touch with EUFA but we still got punished along with the rest.

If you read my earlier post you'll see that I argue that City were faced with a dilemm but they kept in touch with UEFA and kept all options open. That is not panic, and Khaldoon was never a "stooge" for anyone and he certainly was never a mole. At all times he is and was looking after Manchester City's interests. Khaldoon al Mubarak is a major figure in the affairs of the UAE and he does not panic in ANY situation.

Statement from Barca

FC Barcelona, Juventus FC and Real Madrid CF wish to express their absolute rejection of the insistent coercion that UEFA has been maintaining towards three of the most relevant institutions in the history of football. This alarming attitude constitutes a flagrant breach of the decision of the courts of justice, which have already made a clear statement warning UEFA to refrain from taking any action that could penalise the founding clubs of the Super League while the legal proceedings are ongoing.

Therefore, the opening of disciplinary proceedings by UEFA is incomprehensible and is a direct attack against the rule of law that we, the citizens of the European Union, have democratically built up, while constituting a lack of respect toward the authority of the courts of justice themselves.

From the beginning, the Super League has been promoted with the aim of improving the situation of European football, through permanent dialogue with UEFA and with the objective to increase the interest in the sport and to offer fans the best possible show. This objective has to be achieved in a framework of sustainability and solidarity, especially in a precarious economic situation such as the one many clubs in Europe are currently experiencing.

Instead of exploring ways of modernizing football through open dialogue, UEFA expects us to withdraw the ongoing court proceedings that question their monopoly over European football. Barcelona, Juventus and Real Madrid, all of them more than a century old, will not accept any form of coercion or intolerable pressure, while they remain strong in their willingness to debate, respectfully and through dialogue, the urgent solutions that football currently needs.

Either we reform football or we will have to watch its inevitable downfall.

Hope these arrogant entitled clubs get the book thrown at them.

Having said that, to some extent, I agree with their comment:

UEFA expects us to withdraw the ongoing court proceedings that question their monopoly over European football.

Why do UEFA think & expect to have the monopoly over football in Europe. What happened to healthy competition as long as the fans are consulted & benefit
