They were there for the taking when we played them, tonight’s result has pissed me off a bit but we know it’s their cup final, although Carragher nearly in tears makes up
Poor old Paddy Power ehhh - paid out a 6 figure sum on a three legged nag.

Arsenal, and possibly Spurs, looking most likely to give us a run.

Would like Newcastle to nick a top 4 just to piss off the "old guard"

Arsenal's biggest downfall is the Europa Thursdays.

They need to get themselves knocked out ASAP if they are to mount a serious challenge IMO

Looked at the odds and the bookies now have the rags as 3rd favourites albeit with very big odds.

To be honest - that was a black swan event - no one saw it coming
I do think whoever wins will need to score 90+ points, give or take. City fans use Leicester to keep us honest, but I just can't see where we drop enough points for a "Leicester" to happen. I think Arsenal will be close, for what it's worth, but if you do manage it it won't be a Leicester.

It’s other fans trying to down play the fact it would be 3 on the bounce.

It’s such a tough division to win and all games are tough (Brighton at home, Leicester at home these are hard fought wins).

Yes, I do feel we should win it from here but we are not truly top so don’t see how this is anything like a done deal.

Makes sense. Take their first two matches out of the equation. They’ve beaten Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and were the better team at Chelsea for the draw. They also drew at Newcastle. We are the only team that has beaten them out of expected “Big 6”.

Unless we somehow implode were set for another title unless arsenal carry on to 'do a Leicester' which I think they might - but squad size/quality / depth may catch up with them. Other than that spurs will be spurs so Newcastle may actually be the ones to give us a run for our money, although maybe similar to arsenal once the season takes its toll. The dippers may actually blast their way to 2nd once they are revelling in the underdog status with no pressure - klopps speciality.

As much as I’d like to believe that, no one thinks we’re a credible challenger

It is almost November, and you have lost one game, and drawn one. Arsenal are title contenders this season no doubt about that. Might implode, might hit squad depth issues, might simply get beat head to head and overtaken, but on the showing at hand, anyone claiming they are not a contender based on some cliche is being a muppet.
