Not sure we need to rest players too much. Competitive games keep us competitive, right up to the end of the season which is what we'll need.
Spot on mate….chavs in CL league final springs to mind. I could be wrong but I’m sure pep or was it Kev mentioned the importance of momentum and playing regularly just recently…

correct, they most likely benefit from less training at this point of the season as the players have reached their physical peak, the increased amount of games keeps them in top shape

Hope I’m wrong, but I think Arsenal will turn up to day and win.

I won’t lie, I will be really disappointed if they do win. It will only drag out the title race further and keep them in it, with 3 tuff away games left for us, and Chelsea at home who won yesterday. The 4 point cushion would be a really good bonus at this stage of the title race.

Newcastle will be well up for this today, 3 pts and they put a lot of breathing room between them and the scum.

They have to play Brighton too. Our Brighton game is the only game that worries me but it could be over with by then.
Hopefully it will be, as Brentford is also potentially a very tough game. They've still only been beaten at home this season by Arsenal and Newcastle - and they probably should have won against Newcastle.

I
I love that this thread is now: how optimistic or pessimistic is your disposition and do you want to make some fucking wild and all over the place predictions based on that disposition???
This :)

I'm very much in the "it's done already" camp irrespective of the result this afternoon.

But aware that sometimes shit happens and it's not over until it's over.

Probability of the shit happening? Maybe 5% at most.
Certainly that's reflected n the betting odds accross most bookies:
City 1/33
Arsenal 14/1

I think Arsenal is better than most think. Dropped points at Newcastle is possible. But they'd probably beat Brighton. As they are the same type of team. And Arsenal to me is a better version of Brighton.

Newcastle is a style clash. Either way, we need to just plan on winning out.

i think if Arsenal win today, they win their remaining fixtures. The momentum and confidence will be back.

Next week at Everton is going to be crucial for us. A game that could pretty much send Everton down if they lose today away to Brighton and a game that if Arsenal were to win today, I think momentum swings their way a little.

That last week for us is very tough. Chelsea(h) and Brighton and Brentford away.

It only takes a poor half like we have had in the last couple of games and it could be curtains for our title bid.

I can't stress how important it is for us today for Newcastle to get at least a draw.

We are effectively 5 points in front with 4 games to go.

If you think Arsenal are that better than us then best of luck to you.
