We don’t have the same number of points through 17 games as last year, so we aren’t at the same level from a purely quantitative perspective even if you want to cast the eye test aside.Well no, because that's not a fair comparison is it.
Some people couldn't see the team that we had last year, hence the comments that were made on last year's thread. Don't rewrite history and use the benefit of hindsight to now start comparing last seasons team with this one.
Time will tell whether this current team are capable of stepping up before the end of May, and therefore repeating the repair of where we were at this point last season.
The argument I constantly see made on here is essentially we went on a run the last couple years so we will go on a run this year as well.
That is like saying because a stock outperformed the market the last two years it will again this year. Our past body of work doesn’t guarantee us anything this year.
