Pep said in his press conference recently that Grealish helps set the tempo of our offense, so he seems to agree with those guys.
Maybe yes. Though strangely they said his out of possession contribution went unnoticed as he helps get the ball back quicker while others aren’t doing the same job when he isn’t playing.

Whether you like how he plays or not Grealish gives balance to the whole team and, when he is absent or below par, we miss him just as much as Rodri.

Grealish is not more important than Haaland and KDB (both missed 7 months between them). No way.

How do they measure the importance of (the absence of) KDB, Haaland, Gundogan, Stones...to come to the conclusion that we are missing precisely Grealish (from last season) more than them? Very much doubt Grealish is as important as Rodri mate. Grealish might be a bit underrated but not to that extent. Still, would be great to have him in top for.. Could help us big time.

We are 1 pt worse off after 25 games than last season and we have won more games in all compets than last season. 1 pt and several unlucky draws make Grealish as important as Rodri ...Very much doubt it mate.
I’m just the messenger but they were looking at expected points rather than actual points. They were saying Grealish was an enabler and that everything he did off the ball allowed City’s other players to play better.

They themselves were saying it’s not something easy to spot as a fan. It was things like he attracts players towards him in certain positions allowing City to play exactly as Pep likes. Basically he is a vital cog on and after the ball and when he isn’t around the machine doesn’t work the same because of the knock on effect.

It was beyond my tactical knowledge and I think we would miss Rodri more too. They recognised that Haaland and KDB are our most gifted players but said that it was Grealish that was the specific difference in our performance drop off (not points)

Personally I like Grealish but I didn’t understand how important he was to our structure and I probably still don’t….my eyes follow the ball!

We all moaned about Jack slowing the play down to much when it was exactly what was needed today against a spirited Bournemouth side.
Doku lost the ball a few times enabling them to break and attack us.
Doku is just not intelligent enough in that regard.

is it technically in 3 teams hands still? Or have Arsenal & Liverpool already played both games?

Liverpool is my biggest worry. Been playing shite for several months, but no matter how bad they play they somehow get the 3 points. Refs also doing everything possible to gift Klopp a final trophy. Gonna be a nerve wrecking few months ahead

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are having good seasons. It’s still only February, at the moment city doing enough to keep up. The rest especially Arsenal are playing their best football. Dips will happen.

City should be your biggest worry. We play our best we beat anyone. Unfortunately we haven’t played our best all season. By our own very high standards we’ve been awful all season.

I'm a little worried about our goal difference being worse than Liverpool.
Could well lose it on goal difference.
