Football is cyclical and this cycle is coming to an end. A combination of bad planning, injuries and other sides getting better and frankly working us out. We are lucky to be on 23 points for me. Our performances on the whole have been poor.

I’ll go one step further and say we’ve been every bit as bad as United this season.

Haaland’s freakish start to the season has papered over some huge cracks in this side. Add the fact we were lucky to pick points up against Fulham, Southampton, Wolves and Arsenal to the recent losses and it’s not a good season so far.

And Brentford.

unfortunately dippers defence is levels above ours. they conceded 6 goals we conceded 17. but their midfield helps defence + their frontline does press too ours dont or just a poor attempt at it.

lose at Anfield after dippers surely beat Soton tomorrow and we look into an 11 point gap just before we have some real hard games still in December. bigger problem any semi decent side can hurt us now by staying compact and just be quick on counters. this is enough to punish this way out of form City side.

the worry signs were there early on when Inter in the first CL game repeatedly were able to cut us open with counters.
since then many losses are down to this and our inability to put away chances.

Pep did nothing to improve this to make us more compact if anything, Anfield will be another of this if Slot is any intelligent. even the one way Postecoglou gave us a beating twice in space of a month.
