Another example of one of your thinly veiled digs at City.

I like banter but your digs are often delivered with a sugness and rightuousness.

As for Spurs winning personal awards and no trophies, I think this reflects the fact that Spurs receive far more adulation in the press than they deserve.

A saying springs to mind whenever Spurs are being discussed: fur coat, no knickers.

Sir Red Nose has won the bloody thing 27 times.

How is that a dig against City?

Im sure arsene wenger has won it a fair old few times as well it speaks to how long they stuck around, in fact given the amount of months he has been there compared to the amount of times he has won it, its actually a comparitively poor performance really. The fact you brought ferguson into it was a dig at city because you could have made the same reference re: wenger and to go back to spurs having a few better individual players you have one better individual player and even that is arguable because he has had ten good games each season over the past 2 season before his injury on thursday he was out of the game for large periods, as he was against united. He is lauded in the press and rightly so but to put him in the same frame as messi and ronaldo is laughable.

He is a different kind of player to silva and aguero but it is arguable that he is better.

Well Wenger has only won the award 12 times, so he wouldn't need a house extension - an Ikea Billy bookcase would do it.

How big are these awards eactly? so ferguson has won it double the amount of times and been there much longer than wenger, like i said it speaks to longevity as much as anything

Why the fuck have tottenham got their own thread on here..??

Is there a just reason ??

We're an accommodating bunch,us blues, and if that means giving some bandwidth up to discuss those less fortunate than ourselves, then so be it.
Although the amount of time certain Spurs fans seem to spend on here speaks volumes about the standard of their own forums.
Perhaps they are too small a club to have a website for fans.

Someone had a dig does it go on our trophy cabinet, THFC replied. It's just a bit of banter. Most of your posts are negative towards Spurs so I think you can cope with any return back.

The media was always laughing at us during the Francis, Ossie, Pleat, Hoddle etc days. They always hounded our managers and compared us with Chelsea and Arsenal.

It was only until Redknapp came along that the media liked us again, Redknapp is exactly the type of bloke they love, as you can see with QPR already.

When AVB took over Adrain Durham and all his bum buddies like Irani said AVB is useless and should be sacked in a week, he even still tries this when we lose two on the spin. If anything the media are sharpening their tools ready for us to fall at the final hurdle (which is looking likely at the moment)

Vertonghen has played well and deserved his player of the month, if any City player wins it and deserves it then well done to them too

Once again if supporters views are dependent on what some half baked pundit thinks they are not getting nearly as much quality time and fulfilment from being a supporter as they could.

AVB like any manager needs time to shape the Spurs side into a team that can be the best it can given its resources and the quality of the opposition.

He has done ok so far but like any side fighting for a top four spot they are usually relying heavily on the players that have got them to that position in the first place staying fit and in form.

For Spurs its largely Bale , Defoe , Lennon and Vertie and it drops off relatively quickly after that.

They have the quality to cope for small periods without one or more of them but if they lost these players for sometime they would struggle.

I've never been big on papers on punditry, but you often see many complaining about it. Some hate that Spurs got attention from the media on here, not sure why really. When the media complains about City you hear loads complain too. Who cares if you just won a title and FA cup? Fuck them all really. We are just as knowledgeable as them twats.

I think that goes with most teams losing their best players, we struggled losing Sandro for a while, we lost Defoe for a couple of months and Dembele has struggled with a hip injury for a long time. Lennon has been in and out a while and now Bale is down. We have been fortunate to keep plodding along. Although there isn't much love for Spurs on here I think it would be better for City if Spurs get fourth ahead of Arsenal, I'm pretty sure Arsenal get an easy fixture list for first group due to being in the competition. Maybe that will go to City instead next time around? Maybe someone can tell me how the format works, but it's probably all fixed anyway!

well it is but in terms of Arsenal's profitability and us being in Pot 2 or 3 it could well be beneficial if you can keep them out.

Some Arsenal players celebrating reaching 4th position hahaha. Well done on your achievement boys.

The battle for top 4 is very tight. Spurs could do with getting at least a point tomorrow. Especially with Arsenal playing three times before Spurs play us. Will be interesting to see if Spurs can cope with pressure.

I think spurs are gonna finish 5th

Tomorrow's game is huge. The truth is, 4th place is in the hands of any of the clubs there (Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Spurs), as long as they win their games. Each team has everything to lose.

I agree if Spurs are getting a decent run of good publicity in the media because they are playing well so be it.

I can't understand why people would be upset / begrudge any team if they got some decent publicity either irrespective of whether their own supporters felt it was warranted or not.

What is more important is what the supporters on the whole think about the team , the manager and their short and medium term prospects and the enjoyment that good performances give them etc.

I agree about losing key players and too be honest with the difficulties of the Europa League I think you have done extremely well to be where you are at present.

I don't think you have been fortunate I think you have been well managed and focussed although Arsenal are gaining steam now at the right time.

For me Bale is the FA Player of the year by some margain because of the number of games he has changed in your favour this year through his individual efforts.

The goals he has scored in terms of their individual skill required and difficulty have far outweighed those of RVP and Suarez.

He has hit a new level in his development and if he can continue in this vain will attract interest from the biggest clubs in Europe although I would suggest he has well and truly been on the radar for sometime now.

I want him at City more than any other player but I doubt we will get him and dare I say it he has better choices available to him that us anyway.

Suarez will be the popular choice but RVP will probably win it.

Both us and Manure packed it in Europa wise relatively early last season to focus on the league but Spurs have always assembled strong sides for Europa games this season.

It would be quite an achievement if you could win in Basle or somehow fashion a 3-3 result or the like.

Seedings in the Chumps are based on a number of factors but our coefficient will not be altered to any degree by Spurs coming in for Arsenal say in terms of the pot we would be placed in and the possible teams we would face bar possible one exception if our coefficient was higher than Spurs.

I might be wrong but win Europa and qualify for Chumps and you might be seeded higher than us next year anyway.

As I understand it, Spurs already have a higher UEFA co-efficient than Manchester City, regardless of whether we progress any further in this season's Europa League or if we get Champions League football for next season.

But these things tend to be terribly complex to work-out, so it wouldn't surprise me in the least if this transpired to be false....

Is it true that Spurs have been contacted about the new "bedroom tax" and had to explain that they do actually intend to use their trophy room at some point?

That's the mob down the road you're thinking about.

They've won bugger-all in the last eight seasons.

It's ridiculous really they are worse than the fifa rankings. I'm sure people could make a list of top 32 that enter the chains league and seed appropriately

Arsenal always get teams like olympiakos, twente and some Prague team and scrape through every year. Guaranteeing them 25+more pounds for doing sod all. Could you have imagined arsenal in the group of death? UEFA do them a favorite every year for finishing 3rd and 4th
