After any Spurs loss, SSN drag up every known ex-Tottenham player to spout pro-Spurs propoganda. Mabbutt and Mullery appear to be the first two that SKY contact, and they tend to real off the same old rubbish every time.

On the subject of Gary Mabbutt, he was vastly overrated and a media darling. Bit like Gary Bale, I guess.

Why is it unrealistic expectations? We are a country with a 60m+ population. Football is our national sport. We have the richest league (and therefore academies) in the world.

You'd think at some point in the last 20 years, we may have made a go of it.
