Im new to it but I don’t get it. The bloke and woman both buzzed then passed. Do they take it in turns and have to buzz on their turn?

No, whoever buzzes has to answer. The bloke buzzed first… then passed. If the woman had answered, it wouldn’t be accepted as she hadn’t buzzed.
