There are levels. Where someone has a decent stab at getting it right then fair enough, but some of the answers can only be described as idiotic.
Particularly when they start the question with things like “Which South American country…” and they answer France!

Yes there was one the other day - can't recall the question but it was "how many etc etc etc."
I didn't know the answer but was pretty sure it was under 6 (it was 4) yet the individual passed! Even of you say 37 it has to be a better chance than saying pass

I wonder what the criteria is to get on TV Qiuz shows, do you have to be as thick as two short planks?

you have to be so thick that you can't even spell quiz- then they'll take you!

I think the title to this thread should really be… Quiz questions on tele that I knew the answer to but the contestant didn’t.

Plus, the simple fact is, people do and say strange things when they’re under pressure, especially when the spot light’s on them et cetera.
There’s only three things I’m good at, and quizzes is one of them, yet I often either mis-hear the question or overlook the obvious and get them wrong, so, nowt to do with being thick.
