The Waiting List

6,000 in South Stand. Maybe 600 in 3rd Tier, And maybe 1,500 in first 3 rows all around the ground. So an approximate 8000?

Have they said what the actually capacity will be? I know 55,000 is the official figure but have they really carried out the extension in such a way that it ends up with precisely 55,000 seats. Wont it be be 55,000 plus or minus a couple of hundred?

Out of interest, have we nearly sold out on the season tickets by now, or is there a substantial amount left?

Sad to say but it looks like lots remain. Could be that the people who have not bought because they could not get a £299 SC may regret not doing so, come next year they could have had first dibs at downsizing to a £299 card.

It was always obvious the waiting list was so long because so many wanted £299 tickets. I hope the club catered for this and expected the numbers that have been returned. If not then they will need to look at prices in a hell of a lot of detail to ensure that attendances justify the expansion.

It wasn't difficult to anticipate early on that the waiting list would dissipate with the expansion of the South Stand along with the creation of the executive area and the associated price increases. Does anyone know what the plan are for the North Stand? Personally I think we took these steps (executive area and price increases) two seasons too early... at least. We needed more of a presence and profile in the Champions League first IMO.

They won't know final figure until all the seats are in place. They have to create additional disabled spaces and are looking at various locations to put them in also top rows might be too tight for seats to go in with roof angle. In last few seasons they have been squeezing in extra seats around top of each end next to the boxes and they will attempt similar once build is complete

For the hundredth time, I expect the club to aggressively price season tickets towards the beginning of the season. My guess is by offering that cheap deal where you don't chose your seat, to new customers only. It makes sense to exhaust full price sales, then get the signings in, then discount. We were never going to get an extra 8000 regular fans out of thin air without super cheap tickets.

Like the value cards then?

Makes sense tbf

Wonder how many are left

Real issue for me comes with the pricing for one off games next season, a lot of the casual fans who bought tickets last year will now have ST's

I looked online and the numbers left are limited to the back 8 or so rows in the 3rd tiers and the front rows in tier 1 in the corners & the front rows at the North Stand. I'd be surprised if we aren't well above 40k

Those are usually the seats sold as matchday tickets so I don't think we are too far off selling out . Although there seems to be quite a few in 119.
I would be very surprised if there is any discounting.

As long as we get gates over 48,000 initially it will be fine
Build it and they will come, don't build it and they go elsewhere as it's too difficult and expensive to get in

That's excellent really if we'e not far from selling out season tickets and bodes well for big gates for leaague games next season.
A couple more signings should add to the bums on seats.
If we've sold around 40k, what are season tickets capped at, 44/45k?

I'll probably be called a rag for posting this, but fuck it. That YouTube channel that has some quality videos ripping on the dippers uploaded this the other day:

I thought it was funny anyway.

No doubt though that I'll come in for a shit ton of flak from the usual paranoid nuts for sharing this vid. Remember blues; self-depreciating humour, we were once renowned for it.

Anyway, if anything good can come from these seasoncards selling slowly, it'll be that the club revises its pricing policy.

That's because you are a fucking rag.

Ok i'll rephrase then...how the fuck do they know?

Fucking hate all you cunts whether blue or not who constantly want to put this club down...you don't like it?

Fuck off then

Sick of it

I'm not happy with the club's pricing policy. We could easily fill the ground to 55k, and then some, with affordable pricing.

But given the increases in level 2, and elsewhere, it's looking much more difficult. When it needn't be.

One of my biggest bugbears with City at present.

You don't like me expressing my opinion?

Fuck off then.

Sick of it.
