Not a whiskey drinker but my 88yr old dad is and I love trying to find him a new one that’s reasonably priced . £35 price limit . I will keep watching this thread

I've never had a Macallan, so i'm thinking the 12 YO sherry oak cask might be a good bet

Don’t think he has really . Last bottle I bought him was The Pogues whiskey ( that’s my indulgence) he said it was good . He’s one of those blokes who never moans and always appreciative of a whiskeydo you know his preference? the regions all have very different characteristics

I've been drinking a lot of Monkey Shoulder recently - a good blended malt.
Used to love the Bailie Nichol Jarvie - unfortunately killed off.
Got into Highland Park through the Stuart McBride books a nice tipple.Did the Kingsbarn Distillery in 2018 -its young but was a good tour.
My current favourite is Highland Park.
