just did a google news search for his name and every headline i saw mentioned a mutual interest with the rags. hope it's not true.

United doesn't worry me at all.
They can offer good money, we even better.
The have Moyes, we have Pellegrini.
We have Txiki. They don't.

I'd be more worried he goes to Italy, or even Monaco.

United apparently offered £15m for him 2 years ago so their interest was real.

Hopefully their capture of Zaha will rule them out of this one but they could enter the race as spoilers IMO.

Zaha is a winger/forward , and Thiago is a central midfielder

I can't see why City need a player like Alcantara when we have a fantastically strong midfield.

Nasri, Silva, Rodwell, Yaya Toure and Milner. if we buy Alcantara I don't see how we strengthen, we will just have to sell one of the existing midfielders.

Why would them buying Zaha rule them out of going for Thiago?

Zaha is a winger/forward , and Thiago is a central midfielder

My mistake was mixing him up with Tello who is a winger.

Do think,though, that United will not go crazy this summer in terms of numbers of transfers just one or two in weaker areas.
