Even if City attempt to hijack the deal there is still a long way to go whoever is going to sign the player.
 
We could end up with some serious egg on our faces by trying to hijack this deal at the stage it is now reportedly at. The media would have a fucking field day, it would wreak of desperation given the Isco fiasco. And if Alcantara rejected our overtures in favor of the rags? Oh the embarrassment. We're talking major PR disaster.

I say we only enter into this one if there's been previous and we have a very, very high degree of confidence over the player's desire to join us. Otherwise I say we stay the hell away.

A striker is now the absolute imperative anyway.

They will say he rejected a late approach from city anyway, standard procedure when them cunts sign any player.

come on cheeky get the fuck in there and sign this lad!! would soften the blow of losing out for isco.
 
I thought he was on the original hit list along with Navas, Fernandinho, Isco, Cavani and Novarotti

Really hope we have made an attempt for him. He is too good to pass up, especially at the price he's going for. I was pissed not to get Isco but if he leaves Barca and the rags get him I'll be devestated. He has huge potential, on top of already being quality.
