I lived practically on the ground where COMS now stands and trolley buses were a regular feature back in the sixties ...... it looked far diffrent around there back then!

Johnsons wire works, Francis Shawes, Crossley Engins and may more, that part of Manchester was so industrios the Soviets had a nuke pointed on it.

Even into my 20's - whenever you looked up and saw concorde flying over, you had to point to your mate and say "concorde"!! How we miss it!

Every Saturday afternoon i was in there (up in the circle) ...... hard to believe now that it was ever there.
