very good players but still third choices , garcia to de rossi and martinez and nastasic to silva and agger.

Still not sure why that would be Marwoods fault (he may well be shit but there are other factors surely?)
Take the Hazard situation, if Lyon said 32m and hazard said 200k pw plus a starting place everygame and his agent said 'Its 6m to me', I can't see Marwood having the authority to say Yes or No - I think he would have been on the blower to Khaldoon straight away. After all the owners have done I can't see them having a dick in place of big decisions.

On another topic Mancio, I'm going to Naples in two weeks (international break), should I get Mario or Mancini on my new shirt ?

why not cavani ? :-)

I see what you did there -careful with that itk shit.

Re: Winter defends Marwood

Hang on a minute - we have got a half decent team, haven't we? Mostly signed under Marwood's stewardship;with power to add; are Premier League champions; and imho, we have a squad which I wouldn't swap for any other in the Premier League - what the f*** are you moaning about him for? What f'kin planet are you on?

I remember mancinis first press conference well.

Yep, Winter was the worst of the lot. Fucking hyena he was that day.

Winter is an elitist big time. When we started winning trophies, he suddenly got on board. And he leads the charge in the bizarre hype around Wayne' Rooney's status as "world class". Being better than the other press scum is not difficult.

I believe he was very much anti-City after the Hughes sacking but was subsequently "wined-and-dined" and no doubt given the full "Project and sustainability" chat and is now one of the more pro-City journalists.

Re: Winter defends Marwood

if Brian Marwood was doing a good job, we as fans wouldnt even know he exists as his job is to work behind the scenes as the deal maker,

the fact that mancini has to voice his concerns about him in press conferences and that he is the most talked about person in the transfer window implies that he is infact a jumped up useless tosser that needs the boot!

Reigning league champions looking to defend their title and hoping to push on in europe should not be scrapping the barrel of european football hunting for players less than a week before the end of the window!

as mancini said, he and his scouts highlighted the players theyd like before the end of the season, yet we are no closer to getting them now as we were then!

Marwood out!

We have a great squad, chosen by some good managers and a good scouting team.
We signed many of them by giving them ridiculous wages and massively overpaying their agents. Now any contract renewal is ten times harder, agents don't exactly like us because we've had to scale back on their fees that they used to take the piss on costing us Hazard and the like, and we have no chance of selling a ny players because of it.

Apart from that, and tge other things mentioned, he's done super

Our profit making, Premiership player producing Academy has completely fell apart under his watch.

Any evidence of this beyond your personal opinion?

We have the highest wage bill in the league.

We are also champions. Chelsea have the second highest wage bill and they finished well below us last season. Again, this is a nothing comment which isn't relevant to Marwood's capacity to do his job. Unless your suggesting that it is in fact Brian Marwood's fault that the world of football has known for the last four years that AD will pay what it takes to get players.

The club has no consistent football policy across teams. Our support of womens football fell apart.

Again, this is an academy gripe. Which I'm beginning to suspect is where all your gripes are coming from.

The club leaks like a sieve and his personal grieveances are often publicly aired through his contacts in the press.

And what about you airing employees personal grievances on a City forum? Last week you were telling us that nobody on the football side of things at MCFC respects Marwood or has any time for him. You said that the people you've spoken to think he's incompetent. A bit rich to slag him off for media leaks when he's clearly battling against a fifth column from within the club.

He has no relevant qualifications for the role he has.

He's as qualified as Braca at Inter, if not more.

He has consistently failed to get on with every manager who has worked under him.

That'll be two managers, both of whom are notoriously egotistical.

We are unable to move on players.

If no one wants to buy my house at the price i want to sell it at i'm not going to blame the estate agent.

We have no influence in UEFA and they still use us as a whipping boy.

It's the CEO's job to deal with UEFA.

Our scouting department fell apart.

Mark Hughes' staff have gradually been eased out of the club.

There's more, but that's some to be getting on with.

Not really. And as I said to you the other week, if he's as shit as you claim, then Mansour and Khaldoon are fucking incompetent beyond belief.

The new CEO may well want to bring his own people in. That still won't be a reflection of the job Marwood has done anymore than Rigg leaving was a reflection of the job he did at City. Everyone, Mancini included, wants their own cronies on the City gravy train. I can see it's pissing a lot of people off that Brian is AD's man.

Re: Winter defends Marwood

For the reigning champions we've managed to build quite a collection of maybe 8 or 9 players that are shit and need to be got rid of (and that's just from this weeks forum reading), a manager that was subject of Mancini out threads as recently as 10 competitive matches ago, and a football administrator who is incompetent at a job that I doubt one of us knows anything about despite being praised by the chairman who evidently can't have a clue about running the club to be missing what everyone else is seeing.

Bunch of moaning tarts on here lately.

So your advocating that we just give clubs, players and agents whatever they ask for?

Also, it isn't Marwood who okays any deal, that would be those who own the club.

Bit of a contradiction though isnt it - you complain about the wage roll and agent fees etc that we have paid in the past. That was probably necessary to attract the players to the club when we didnt have champions league football.

Now we are an attractive proposition we don't need to pay over the going rate and why should we.

But do you want us to carry on paying these wages and agent fees or not. You can't have it both ways. If we didnt pay over the odds we wouldnt have won the league last year without a shadow. If you want us to continue to pay over the odds you can't complain about having the biggest wage bill.

Marwood out!

Absolutely this.

Yes, we may get Sinclair in this week, but why have the powers that be waited until the last two weeks to get anything done?

It's not a shambles, but it is strange considering how well we've done in previous windows.
